The emergence of WikiLeaks validates our own strategy
A short dialog with Noah denkt™’s Alter Ego, drafted and published on Nov. 29, 2010
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Question by Alter Ego of Noah denkt™ (AE): Noah denkt™ certainly must feel vindicated by the great fuss that
the emergence of WikiLeaks is causing in the news world these days?
Answer by Noah denkt™ (Nd): Well, we obviously feel that the existence of WikiLeaks confirms the relevance of
our basic theory which tries to take economic advantage of the incredibly fast turnaround and deconstruction
powers that highly interconnected, global societies have. In other words, it seems to us that our core strategy
remains adequate which claims that is ever unlikelier that you will be able to truly profit from profits which have
been generated in a way that is inconsistent with a Golden Rule business ethics code (i.e. "Don’t do to others
what yo don’t want them to do to you").  At the same time, though, we would also like to go on record by stating
that we do not condone the publication of private documents that were never meant to be published, unless such
publication would help to uncover unlawful acts that are in deed of national importance. That, however, does not
seem to be the case in the latest scoop that WikiLeaks has revealed as of yesterday which pertains to secret
diplomatic cables that foreign US missions have sent to their home base.

AE: So you do not see a general value in such whistle-blower activities which, after all, might have the
consequence of educating everyone concerned to be less reckless in the future?
Nd: Not really. After all, there is already too much political correctness going on as we speak. So we really cannot
endorse anything that makes people even more afraid to speak their mind than this is the case now. Whistle-
blower activities are important when they uncover a truly important breach of law or trust by senior management.
The use of plain words however isn’t part of that.

AE: Hence, you do not consider it a breach of international law if a US Secretary of State explicitly asks the
employees of the US mission to the UN to spy on their fellow diplomats from other countries.
Nd: No, we consider this more or less standard behaviour.

AE: That’s very cynical though, isn’t it?
Nd: Yes, it is,
but we as human beings have become a pretty, hard-knuckled and cynical bunch, haven’t we?

AE: Perhaps.
Nd: So, do we see eye to eye on this dialog then?

AE: Yes, we do.
Nd: Thank you.
