Noah denkt™ concurs with Bill Gates
Observation first drafted on March 16, published on March 18, 2008
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Noah denkt™ would like to go on record associating itself with the Founder and Chairman of Microsoft when he
forecasts*** that within the next twenty years mankind will be able to find

    a) energy solutions that are environmentally safe and that can substitute the fossil fuel dependency that
    the world is living now
    b) medical cures for major illnesses that so far have not been dominated by the advances of science and
    technology

Noah denkt™ also agrees with Mr. Gates when he explains that

    c) the availability of tax breaks is not the most important criteria for companies when deciding where to
    locate their facilities.
    d) major innovation pushes tend to come out of public (or "public-private", as Mr. Gates put it) initiatives.

This latter point however is one further evidence to the fact that the overall notion which is predominant in neo-
conservative circles, whereby the private sector “obviously” is more efficient that the public sector is inadequate.
After all, it is the public service and its corresponding mind that create most of the innovative breakthroughs. And
so you could even credit neo-conservative ideology to that. For too common-good orientated is its thinking that
you could now still associate the latter with a simple profit-based greed logic.

No, if we want to be honest here, we have to accept, that it is only ideal-inspired sacrifice that generates
substantial benefits. And so we should not discourage the latter shareholder value thoughts. For too narrow-
minded will our endeavor otherwise be, that you could now still hope to resolve the bigger challenges with that t.

Given therefore that a public service mentality is not unproductive by default, we ask the neocons to give up their
book-keeping approach. For too little do they thereby support a lasting value-creation, that they could now still
bank on staying competitive with this.
